Another Perfect Day
2006

Another Perfect Day was first presented at PiST///, Istanbul in 2006, and later featured at the 5th Berlin Biennale (2008) and Sofia Contemporary (2013). In this performance, a hairdresser cut hair by the light of a motorcycle headlight, a gesture that evoked the everyday creativity and improvisation found among people living and working in politically and economically unstable environments. The work was inspired by a real-life encounter Ahmet Öğüt experienced on the streets of Istanbul.
